Outdoor learning programmes PDF Print

Our outdoor learning programmes are led by qualified outdoor learning leaders in a safe woodland environment:

  • Woodlands of the Dyfi Biosphere – a two day programme with a day exploring two types of woodlands found in the Dyfi Biosphere and the biodiversity they contain, and a day exploring the properties of wood, timber products and sustainable choices for a timber build. The programme highlights the sustainable relationships between people, woodlands and industry within the Dyfi Biosphere.
  • Woodland Cultures – a one day workshop exploring the causes of deforestation across the globe and what can be done as global citizens. The workshop highlights choices and decision making in relation to timber products.
  • Forest Gardening – a yearlong programme focusing on the scientific and geographic skills needed in observing current land and planning for its future use. This is a whole school programme which supports the understanding of the history of Forest Gardening and its uses in our current climate.
